I believe only the section between 00:19 to the 1:56 minute mark of the models walking on the airplane wing use the FPV/Komodo combo, the distorted tarmac scenes are I believe the GoPro FPV scenes. I don't know if the Komodo was used for the rest of this video or not'

Don't usually comment on the video's, but that's some nice flying imo and shows exactly why the Komodo was made (to capture those kinds of shots with that kind of image quality, among other things).

Can easily imagine seeing something like that turning up in a movie (seamlessly 'cutting' to inside the car or something).

Yeah that was exactly what the Komodo with a global shutter was designed for. I just wish they wouldn't have used such a wide lens that close-up, but that was probably the look they wanted.

The whole video was shot using Komodo with RF 24-105 F4 and RF 35 1.8. at 6k 2.4:1 48 fps. mostly handheld, tracking shots were shot using DJI RS2.

Scratching my head over this feature. First it seemed cool, but then you start to see, for me at least, how useless it is. Last shoot I did I came home with 200 gigs. Transferring this over wifi / ftp at 5 megs a second seems very inefficient. That is like buying mini cars for your piano moving business.

That's 5megs a seconds if you can get those speeds. I think maybe some type of cfast card reader with a wi- fi antenna capable of those same new wi-fi features in 1.5 , with a new red software application, would be great. This way you could be uploading the footage from a particular stretch of time from one cfast card for the Production higher ups / Director to approve of or they might want to suggest alternate scene compositional shots...etc. The D.I.T could be working on " Show" Lut ideas as well all while another Cfast card is being used to continue recording the production.

Some people are suggesting uploading and recording footage at the same time, but the stability of that is still in question.

Right now the camera is needed to transfer the files to the appropriate servers.So unless you have multiple Komodos onset to record the production, there will be some " Down Time" of recording while the camera finishes uploading the recorded footage.

It's been kinda a hard time finding new videos from the Komodo on the internet. A friend told me about a website that can extract Instagram videos. The reason I wanted to try this is because there are alot of Komodo videos that have been exclusively uploaded to instagram. Some videos haven't been uploaded to more Video centric Video sharing platforms like Youtube or Vimeo yet, or are not going to be posted to either of those and where simply meant for higher instagram comment counts. The extracted video below was I believe only meant for high instagram comment counts and will never be posted on Vimeo or Youtube. Some of these video are of low quality some are of reasonable resolution. Some are very short and some are reasonably long. So from time to time I will be posting these " Not posted yet/Never going to be posted" videos from Instagram along with what I regularly find just for fun sake.
