Hello - New to RED cameras and when working with a Komodo + 702 Touch shooting Prores, my footage is underexposed (around 40 IRE for skin tones) but with the viewing LUT (provided by RED for Komodo) applied, it looks much brighter. I feel like I'm doing something wrong, underexposing, and not getting the most from the camera. *I completely understand that R3D's are a much better use of the camera but Prores works best for my workflow in some situations so I'd like to maximize it's potential*. In short, why does the prores (same for R3D's for that matter) look so dark? Why does the LUT make it so bright? Side question, would it be beneficial in any way to shoot R3D's and transcode to Prores for smaller file sizes or would I lose too much color info? Thanks
