Red in France

Hello guys,
A quick note to let you know that we've updated the PDF on our website about the Red bootcamp we'll be holding mid June in Paris at LocaRed. You'll find a detailed outline of the courses. Try to let us know ASAP if you're interested in this session. We'll soon be sending the final registration forms.

Another one in France !

Another one in France !

Hi Everyone,

We will receive our RED in the next few weeks. It's good to see all these events around the red in France.

Arno, your RED Bootcamp is a good idea. I couldn't find it on your site until I went to the english version...
And why doing all courses in english? It's a litle sad... being in our lovely capitale and don't speak french. :sarcasm:

By the way, here is a not less lovely forum which speaks our old good french language : it's called www.madeinred.fr and it's for all things around working with RED's cameras, shooting, post, grading, etc...

See you soon!

Hey guys, I'm based in the South of France near Carpentras.

I have a custom built mobile Scratch solution for the RED ONE available for rental. Included in the package is a MacBook Pro with Final Cut Studio 2, which is supported with a Lacie Biggest Quadra set up as RAID 5 with a 2.05 TB capacity for offline.

The customized Scratch system is running on a Microsoft WinXP 2003 server, with a PNY Nvidia Quadro FX4600 (dual DVI-D). It has Esata, Firewire, HBA SCSI 800 port, internal LTO 400/800 SCSI, 2x Esata External Hot swap PLUG for read, exchange or archive @ full ESATA transfer rate, 4x HDD 1TB SATA hot swap internal (4TB in raid 0), R3D real time in 1/2 size medium.

The workstation is housed in an 'anti-choc' Fly case (military product) 6U 'SCHOCK RACKS HD24' and is accompanied with an Eizo screen, CG241W, (48/50/60Hz) and universal fly case for the monitor.

Please pm or email me for a great quote.

"La Planète Rouge" will open mid-november in Marseille with 3 Red One's fully equiped. It will come with a 450 square meters studio (White, Black, Blue and Green Chroma on three sides) and 500 square meters of covered parkings, warehouse, workshop and loges, 80 meters from the sea.

The post-house near the studio will come with a complete scratch station with cinetal and 2k projector, an autodesk smoke 2k and sledgehammer SAN, Final cut and avid, and 2 sound studios with D-control 32, 5.1, and D-command 24.

The first HD and cinema post in south of France.

Just send me an email for infos.

Lionel Payet

Welcome Lionel, good to see slowly and slowly the French industry consider the red technology
By the way I don't think you're the thirst one in south of France.
Best regards
Brice

Brice,

Thank for your kind support.

Sure, we're not the first company to own Red One's in south of France, that's not the matter :)

Paris is leading the post-indutry and we offer now an alternative in the south of France, in front of the sea, that was my thought.

It's now possible to capture, grade, FX, mix and go HDCAM SR in Marseille. We're a small and independant company and it was really hard to complete this project in this financial mood, i was just happy to tell it.

We do not want to lead anything, just make a good job with good people :)

Hello French Red,
We are producing content in the Cote d'Azur region and hope to get are hands on a Scarlet or two as soon as possible.

If you guys organize a meeting please count us in. On the other hand, if enough of you are coming this way for the Cannes Film Festival or MipTV then maybe I could pull together a dinner and some work space to hang out and talk shop.

Thanks and I hope to meet soon.

Is that for video camera only or photographer are welcome too (means do you have any clue concerning still photography)?
