As I said it a long ago.

Steven Soderbergh is going to be one of major Cannes Laureates this year.

And RED too.

I just looked at the Cannes press pdf.

There some important facts that should be considered and put together:

1. Feature Film Jury
Sean PENN, President
(American actor, director, screenwriter)

Sean Penn is improved REBEL of New American film.

2. Steven SODERBERGH in a feature competition with "CHE", 4h00.

Steven Soderbergh is also improved REBEL of New American Film and story about Che is a story about REVOLUTION..

3. 1968 the Cannes festival was canceled because of the unstable political climate in Paris. The 1968 Cannes Film Festival was disrupted when filmmakers joined students and workers to protest against the Gaullist film establishment. It changed the event forever in that succeeding festivals were expanded to avoid allegations of elitism and discrimination against certain filmmakers.

1968 was a year to deal and think about REVOLUTION in the whole World.

4. 2008 new presidental election in USA. It's time to change course in politics of the leading world country.

What you think who is going to win in Cannes?

Put all those things above together, get the puzzle finished and then you could conclude:

Soderbergh, Che, RED, Film, America, the World.

Revolution.

Also we should know well that one of the main Cannes film festival concepts is to deal with a certain sensationalism.

(Sensationalism is a manner of being extremely controversial, loud, or attention-grabbing.

It is especially applied to the emphasis of the unusual or atypical. It is also a form of theatre.

The Palme d'Or 2008 to film "CHE" directed by Steven Soderbergh, shot whole digital with RED camera, introduced by Sean Penn,

the Jury President at the closing night of the festival it could one absolute and total sensation for the world's press.

And who is going to win in a real world?

We, all the REDUSERS.

Cool.

But we shouldn't forget that it's just a camera.

As an interesting member at DVXUser says - "We should all be writing".

That's the real key.

Apart from that - RED really sets us free...

Enjoy your life.

Please don't forget Clint the king.
Brice

Clint Eastwood was always one of my darlings and for sure could be a strong competitor to Soderbergh.

i second that

I agree, write that killer script, you cant blame the image quality no more.
Cameras dont sell your idea, or distribute your film, your idea does.
Im looking forward to concetrating more on the ideas as the image side will be sorted.

That's an impressive lineup, I wish I was going. Should be excellent this year. Good luck to Soderbergh, I'm always excited to see what he does next.
