  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED HOT

Ice bags will absolutely be required. The camera does not do well in high heat (over 90 degrees F). We had to cover both of our cameras with ice packs when shooting for long periods of time in hot weather. (Granted, the cast and crew were melting, as well.)

The EVF becomes very fragile at high temperatures. The glue that holds the internal screen in place can melt... And an impact can knock it loose!

Ive never had any real "meltdowns" and weve shot at well over 50 degrees. Just get your gaffers to put some flags over the camera and whenever possible keep a fan next to the camera. Ice Packs work, as do half full water bottles squashed between the top handle and body.

Keep a backup body that is kept in a cool place. Best thing you can do
