Nice, that is a lot of names.

I don't have name ideas yet, haha. I did just place my second RED order today, though. Took the plunge.

Thanks for the list, Jim. Care to elaborate on the naming choices? I'm sure there are a few good stories. :)

(oh, and if any of the betas need a home, I''d be happy to accomodate.) :whistling:

Haha definitely the center of the Universe. ;) Especially right now, during film fest. Pretty crazy! :P

When I moved to Toronto everyone told me it was the center of the universe!

(trust me, all Canadians reading this will understand and laugh)

maybe I have missed that part but I have been wondering why Red is red? I mean the naming concept.

I'm not laughing or understanding.

Is the Bread Box what was on display at NAB 2006? The one with matte grey paint?

Here is the breadbox...

Like my avatar...

Which is the inside of an old school film camera I shot when my boy let me into "The Vault" at Kodak in Rochester NY.

Brass and_____________wood were considered scientific materials at the time of inception...

Seems to me the bread box should go to the Smithsonian to it's rightful place next to the Apple-1, Steve Wozniac's similarly crude, wooden first attempt at the Apple computer. Or at least in the Hollywood Motion Picture Museum or some such place.

Wow, Jim! That is really cool, in a DIY geeky sort of way. I bet that could fetch a pretty penny on eBay...
Screw eBay, a private auction would be the way to go......but then again sentimental value would refrain that from ever happening, or at least it would in my case if I were Jim.

I promise that if it went to auction... I would buy it.

Jim

Jim, that's freakin cool. I guess looking back at the whole process, it's easy to become jaded now that the camera is actually out in production. This reminds me how far you guys have come in a relatively short amount of time.

Very nice!

Man, that's cool. It's pics like this and stories like Oakley and RED that have recharged me to start moving forward on a company that I've been kicking around with for a couple of years. It's hard not to be inspired here or pushed to persist even when it's all stacked against you.

Thanks for sharing Jim and congratulations.
