Hey all!
Went to a screening of Stranger Things Season 1 Episode 1 in the Sherry Lansing theatre at Paramount Pictures hosted by Netflix and local 600. Always been a fan of the show, and seeing it on the big screen really blew me away, so much to drink in both in sight and sound, in an awesome theatre. Noticed so many things I had missed on my 65" TV at home.
DP Tim Ives was in attendance along with the Showrunners (Duffer Bros.) and several members of the production design and art team.
Mr. Ives sumptuous lighting and camera movement from season 1 was filmed with the Dragon Sensor on Leica Primes (can't remember if Summilux or Summicron - I think he said Summilux).
Someone in attendance asked about season 2, and I was pleased to hear they had chosen the Helium Sensor this year - he said filming 8K for a 6K extraction (supersampled to 4K delivery).
Thought everyone might like to hear about this - can't wait to see what unfolds !
