RED GEMINI 5K Slow or Blocked

Hi guys,
i noticed something that I would have your opinion on.

When T/E is correctly green, my Red Gemini is working fine, no problem, everything is responding.

When T/E is yellow (also when is red, but on red I could really understand, with yellow I wouldn't expect this)... well the camera begins with problems. Every button is responding very very slowly. Sometime sot even responding.
When pressing REC buttons, sometimes I myst wait 1min before it starts recording. Sometimes it also says the media is not inside.

Well the question now is: it's a known thing that it's only correctly working in T/E Green status or shall I do something like company reset, new firmware and then black shading on the temperatures i need??

Definitely not normal, T/E only indicates if the conditions are right for the current calibration settings. Does it snap into shape the moment that T/E turns green?

I 2nd this. Try Manual Blackshade. It could be swapping between calibrations.

Flashing the firmware also doesn't hurt if you have the time.

Yes could be swapping calibration but that should not take a minute.

To me this sounds like bad batteries, power or power connection between brain and power module. Is camera behaving the same if you run of the AC adapter?

If having such problems camera start to sketch out, not behaving as should.

well I try to answer to all your messages here:

- I never tried with AC because we film 99% documentaries and it means it's impossible to get direct power on the field... those batteries and the Vlock are the same I hade on my RAVEN last year and I never had such a problem so I don't think so but it could be...

I always run AUTO CALIBRATION because on documentaries you never know: sometimes we go with ultra slowmo, sometimes with 100 fps sometimes with 25 and so shutter speed is constantly changing...

What you think if, to start trying something, i go for:

1) Clean all the contacts (I/O expander, Side Handle, Display)
2) Brng the camera to his original settings (like factory reset)
3) Set up all the accssories (io, handle, side handle, display)
4) Firmware update
5) Auto black shading

Could it work or it's better to do something else/more?

Try manual blackshading and leaving it, even when changing the framerates. If your temp is even remotely close, it all should stay green on the T/E. Trust me on this one, even just to test. Try this first before doing anything else, this can help you hone in on what is going wrong.

I have noticed that my Gemini takes the longest out of any Red cameras that I've had to move through menus and make selections. I know they have a slower processor in there to help lower the price since it is a lower pixel count sensor.

I may be wrong, but I'm not sure that's true. Gemini is capable of the same frame rates at the same resolutions as Monstro (96fps at 5K, for instance). I'm guessing that's not an exact comparison of processor speeds, but it shouldn't mean that going through menus is slower on Gemini.

My Gemini is slow and glitchy whatever the calibration status.

Fails to record when triggered or records just a single frame, changing any settings and especially temperature is super sticky and slow, going to playback and loading clips takes ages, freezes randomly .....

Worst iteration of Red camera so far and I've had them all.
