Hello all,

Firmware updates come occasionally rapidly early days and sometimes sporadically. Ideally myself or somebody else will make a post with the latest firmware with the change log. This post however will have important and relevant firmware and software links in one spot so you can check if you're up to date easier before a shoot.

RED DSMC3 Camera Firmware and Guides
- RED V-Raptor 8K VV
- RED Komodo 6K S35

*Firmware update tip. Backup Presets before an update, just in case.
*Firmware update, most important tip. After updating firmware ALWAYS run a new sensor calibration.

We're also in a new era regarding accessories and some of those firmware updates aren't hosted on RED.com nor available through RED.

RED DSMC3 Accessory Firmware and Guides
- RED/SmallHD DSMC3 Touch 7"

*Firmware tip, much like always, backup any presets/profiles you've made to media prior to updating.

And of course, REDCINE-X Pro
- REDCINE-X Pro (Windows)
- REDCINE-X Pro (MacOS)

What’s the latest on Raptor firmware? I am in the market for a second Red kit, 8k for more cropping options, but the last time I rented the Raptor a couple of month back replay was a nightmare. I shoot products, on motion control rigs and we often have t use slow sliders/turntables and camera head for smoothest movement. But without In/Out, Reverse, and x2, x4 speed the replay is not presentable to clients.

Anyone try the new Beta out? And what is new in layman's terms.?? Seems there is a prerecord update but not sure what that means as it worked pretty good before. With the exception that there never seemed enough prerecord when shooting high speed frame rates. And there is mention of a CF Express adjustments. Does this mean we might finally be able to delete clips individually from the card if you say roll for 20 min on a slow-motion clip and nothing happens you could delete it and not loose the entire card? That would be something.

You really, really don't want to delete clips from the card. It's really the worst idea if you care about stable media on any system using flash memory.

Here's everything that's new:
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES SINCE V-RAPTOR 1.7.5
Added Broadcast R3D Project Format
Added Playback to Camera Webpage
Added support for T Stop Iris Display
Added RGB RAW Meters and Histogram to Video Overlay
Added EVF Brightness to Video Overlay
Added External Tally Overlays
Added RED PRO CFexpress Updater (RD4.15)
Added SmallHD RED Touch OS 6 Beta
Added Camera Horizon to RED Touch (PageOS 6)
Added List Filtering
Improved Pre-Record behavior

Lots of people on various groups have been asking for horizon on the touch. Real nice to see new overlay and playback via browser.
