I've only seen the SSD card used with Scarlet, I was just curious if the older Red Drives also work...? If so, can they keep up with the new footage without corruption?

I'm just debating on buying more SSD cards or rigging up a drive. Obviously the drives are a lot cheaper but I don't know if it's worth it with the workflow... but being able to shoot longer without changing cards so often is tempting.

how do you want to connect the Red drives?

how do you want to connect the Red drives?

I'm honestly totally ignorant to how it would work, I've always just directed and my DP did everything. This is my first RED so I'm kinda still getting the lay of the land, as far as what cable, drives, etc., I can use and how they'd hook up. If it works, are there various ways to connect it? I'm assuming, if I get a drive, I'd get a mount but then it plugs in?

I'm such a noob still.
