Nice

I was very pleasantly surprised by how amazingly the Dragon performed underwater. The footage is super sharp, detailed and vivid. Dragon smokes the MX, C500 and F55. Underwater, the dynamic range really pays off, as well.

Tom
I have never shot anything underwater….what do you think compared to the epic??? (is the epic enough when you have good visibility?)

Damn!! Super awesome range!!

Thanks for sharing the video and r3d as well tom!

I think Dragon is MUCH sharper and has far better dynamic range than Epic, and it's very evident when under water.

That dude sure knows how to hold his breathe! I found that as impressive as how sick Dragon looks!!!!

Very nice stuff. BBC-Earth must be getting a hard on right now, and creating a new budget line for 20 Dragons.

All our Epics are inline for Dragon upgrades and all work underwater.

Images look great.

Are there any signs of magenta contamination ? Probably not evident in the pool shots.

Very cool!

Thanks for for taking some time out to post.

Tom, What lens di you use for this test ?

I'll throw my hat in the ring on how much better Dragon is with colorimetry and how much fatter the red channel is now at depth as well as how much cleaner all channels are and devoid of all that noise that MX had....It's a 180 degree turn in difference Epic MX to Dragon.

How wide could you go before the lens vignetted and things started to get weird? Do you know the focal length you used for these shots?
