  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED DAY Vegas 2010 - REGISTRATION OPEN

Unless things have changed, there are no reserved seats. However for a 100 bucks you could probably have your choice :)

Frank,

You are right. :)

However, to repeat a famous quote: "Prices, Specifications and Delivery Dates are subject to drastic changes. Count on it and you won't be disappointed." :)

The multiple winners thing is tricky. The guy who won a lot of the prizes the first year, also won at the Final Cut Supermeet. Wondering if maybe he just buys lots of tickets or maybe he is really lucky.

I'm "The Guy".

The way I figured it I could drop $20 on the craps table or spend $20 on raffle tickets. I figured my chances were way better at the Red event and at the Supermeet. I was right. AND AMAZINGLY LUCKY! I bought tickets just like everybody else. The odds were the same for us all. There were no restrictions on wins for anybody. I don't know why the raffle gods smiled on me so much that night...but they did. And I was and continue to be very thankful and grateful to the vendors who were so generous.

It was a little crazy to see how nasty some people could be with the comments though. Do people get really pissed off at someone sitting at the blackjack table when they win? Maybe.

Make the rules in whatever way sounds best. The point is they are the same for everyone. Limiting gives more people the opportunity to smile. Last year I won again at the Supermeet. Lucky me. I then handed my tickets to someone who looked like they could use them and they won too. I didn't buy a lot of tickets its just the way things worked out. Although buy as many tickets as you want. That opportunity is the same for all as well.

And the bigger point is the hard work and generosity of the vendors and supplies that bust their butts for us all. Win or no win... we all win.

You certainly didn't do anything wrong, that's for sure. It was a good lucky streak, and I should have found you and brought you to the craps table that night to help me win some money. :-)

We're just looking at ways we can make the raffle better. It might take another raffle or two before we get things just right? Each year is a learning experience, not just with the raffle.

So, Hoffman, what do you think. Roulette table after the event? I'm game.

Oh yeah, wasn't I trying to get this thread on track. Always breaking my own rules.

I'm in for sure!!! But let's make it craps after!!! And thanks for all your hard work Steve. I love these events.

Okay, I think the party just got extended beyond the ballrooms of the Trop. I say we take over a table and play a round or two. And then we bet a $1 or $2 on RED at the Roulette table. I'm not much of a gambler, but I could be convinced to play some poker with fellow Redusers.

I really dug how we ended up at a club after last year!

Club, poker, jail

poker, club, jail

jail, poker....

Whatever order you guys want to go in.

Oh, and before anyone takes me for a party animal, realize I'm actually pretty chill. I provide a good balance for the partiers out there. Just don't get me drinking. I'm a major lightweight. Too many bad things could happen after a couple of mudslides.

3000 club. Damn, I'm now officially on here too much.

Even when you appear to be working, you are on REDuser...
