  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Oh yeah, and never let me speak in front of a large audience when I've had no sleep. Not a good idea. On second thought, never have me speak in front of a large audience.

It might happen Zac. I got to the after party late last year, and somehow missed a lot of Vlad's crazy dancing. I hope to be more timely this year. Oh, and if something goes wrong at the event, I need someone to blame. "oh that problem, yeah you'll need to speak to Zac about that".

Okay, seems like we're a bit behind on getting a registration link out to you guys. Let me see what's going on with that.
 
By the way, what are you guys hoping to see at the event, just out of curiosity? And before anyone says it - the Lingerie Expo is still at the Rio as far as I know. So don't get your hopes up. If for some reason they move it to the Trop, then it will be safe to assume they are stalking me.

Seriously though, what kinds of things will really make it worth it for you? I want to put on a good show.

Scarlet is the Big thing for a lot of smalltime, indie, producers, filmmakers, music video people... the small guys...

So there may be a lot of people there interested in JUST the scarlet, and the accessories/tripods/monitors/programs, dealt with the cheaper side of the "industry"

So why not make a few of the "talks" about indie Scarlet owners, what they would need to work, and what they can get away with "On a Budget"

Yes, but I'm going on a whim to say 75% of people that aren't using the Scarlet as a crash cam, will be in the salary range of $75,000 or less, so they are working on a budget
 
Joseph and I have taken the argument off the forums... this thread might need some cleaning up by a mod.... sorry for the mess

I'd like to see best workflow scenarios. Quality, speed, broadcast, film out, with and without RR, etc. Any helpful software or tools. Michael Ceoni did a great presentation last year on preserving the image. With the mx coming out, a similar demonstration would be great. just my 2 cents

Both 2/3 and S35 scarlets would be really nice, Q&A is excellent too, schedules for release and acqusitions. Realistically, repeat LA Red Day with a couple small surprises.

Oh yeah almost forgot, free beverages. I think that about does it, what do you guys and gals think? Did I leave anything out?

Tom, Its Red Day in Vegas during the NAB event. Red will be at the Tropicana, Wednesday the 14th of April.
