RED DAY Vegas 2010 - REGISTRATION OPEN

What's the target audience?

What's the target audience?

I'm a future Scarlet owner. (Scarleteer? Scarletista?) I've been saving since the day the camera was first announced. At the moment, I'm nothing more than a serious hobbyist, though I hope to be more once I have a camera that meets my expectations. I do have a couple years of film school under my belt, so I'm not totally clueless about the finer points of filmmaking.

Is Red Day Vegas something from which I would benefit? In other words, will there be enough of interest for the low-budget crowd?

For people like me, I think it will be a great time to network with a lot of people who are established in the industry.

I am looking forward to meeting Jim, Jarred, Jon, Jason, Deanan, Mark Pederson, Peter Majtan and a bunch of the other crew who are on the forums as well.

If you like networking with others, this'll be a good place to do so. Also, last year there were some demonstrations put on throughout the day concerning workflow issues with Adobe, FCP, etc.

EDIT: Oh, and how could I have forgotten to mention I looked forward to meeting Ted in person as well? :D

If you can afford to go, I say go for it. You'll meet some great people (networking is half the battle, technical/creative skills is the other half). There will be plenty to see, lots to learn, and much fun to be had. There's always a few surprises and you never know what other events you'll have to walk through to get to ours.

Hopefully we'll see you there.

So true Steve, so true, if I can make it it will be a pleasure seen you again, as it is always a pleasure see again all the good friends made @ the Red events during this years, and always great off course making new ones, while surrounded by our favorite toys.. no I meant tools, tools for our work, not toys :aureola:

great,I can go to NAB and RED ONE at the same time.

Hope it won't be like the Titanic exhibit. Haha. More like the body exhibit.

Joseph are you planning any podcast or scoops from Reday in Vegas?

Indeed we are. Zac Crosby will be hosting a variety of short videos on the exhibit floors as well as the actual REDday/Vegas for the members of REDUser/DVXUser/ScarletUser who cannot attend.

I will be doing the shooting/editing of the videos. (hopefully each night I can put a few of them up so there isn't too much delay)

We plan on interviewing a number of vendors about various products for production and post-production. (If you have any specific products you want reviewed, PM one of us)

Thanks for your interest. We are really looking forward to it!

I am hoping to attend Red Day in Hollywood on February 13th. I have time off to attend NAB in April. The only reason I would be going to NAB this year would be to see the Red cam Scarlet. Will there be coupons available or a special NAB price on the Red cam Scarlet?

Kindest and sincerest warm regards,

Lisa J. Kassner

I sincerely doubt there will be any coupons. Or even a means of ordering (pre-ordering) the camera. I know RED is hoping to have functional prototypes of Scarlet and Epic at NAB.

Should be lots of stuff to see at NAB this year besides RED.

I am coming to this one for sure. Planning out flights and hotels. Thinking April 11-16, hotels are cheapest during those nights.

This will be my first Reduser event and much looking forward to meeting all the Red crew and users.

Joseph, could you use a hand in the podcast? I presume you'll be making a video podcast? Would love to help with it.

I also have a tradition of making a short film/video anytime I travel. Anyone here interested in short film or video for kicks, before or after the 14th of course. Or, maybe after you lost all your winnings and have nothing left to do?

PM me if interested.

If we are already attending RED DAY Feb 13 at RED Studios, do we have the ability to make an appearance in Vegas as well?

I've combed through the entire 8 pages of this thread and never saw this answered (and if it's there somewhere I deserve some beatings anyway). I'm already onboard for a session of RED Day L.A., and Vegas is even closer, I would love to attend that as well.

Vegas is always open to many... last year there were plenty of empty seats at the RIO when they demo'd the RED RAY.

No worries mate, you wont be turned away.
