i dont know whats this shot on (alexa or film comes to mind), however %100 sure its not Dragon or MX.i know color timing is important but film and alexa has different red color in my opinion.even i dont know which camera has true red color. For sure this video shows best skintones
is it possible to get these kind of colors with Dragon sensor?

I see absolutely no reason why not - however I wouldn't hold this piece up as an example of perfection exactly... Creatively the colour is lovely. Its very pretty, but it also feels quite stylised IMHO.

Film not digital - there's a telecine op credit ;)

Kemalettin, I think yor first example looks stylized like instagram and the second does not look straight at all so I think it's each and every once preception of what's god skintones. :)

These are MX skintones.... To me those beat the shit out of any german skintones. And they are all shot in completely different colored back lights and all graded with the same setup. It's only HD screendumps but needless to say the resolution and 16 bit colors beats alexa proress any day and personally I think it beats the XT stuff as well. I can not really understand the problems with skintones and MX and especially not dragon. If it's half ass properly lit and the makup is somewhat well done it looks smashing I think.

Edit the attachement got a bit small.. here is a bigger version of the same screendump: https://www.flickr.com/photos/107237384@N04/14351789185/

and here is a dragon striaght from camera old olpf no adjustment I think redgama3 red color 3 iso 800:

it got a bit of green in it from not perfectly balanced light or if it's the sumricons that added that cast but nothing that can not be sorted with a very small adjustment in grading.

And yes both of those are "full body" so makup, is basically the sprayon kind of makup and about 50 clothes changes in a shooting day... so no the makup is not perfect but to me the MX and dragon shines more than most when it comes to skin tones.

I got the above in motion as well but can not show it in public so you would have to PM to see it.

Björn cant see same RED colors on your examples. waayyyy different than my examples
Maybe my eyes are wrong with RED color :) look at her sweatshirt and face.i know MX skintones.im checking my library and Dragon skintones that we shot ,exactly like yours. Not even come close to Alexa's RED.
Red skintones looks to me like human beings without blood there is no red in it.

IMHO, the skin tones in this example look too red for my taste but obviously this is without context of the piece as a whole. It's a lovely, organic image though (Alexa's grain structure is nice). I'd love to know what glass it was shot with?

I like Björn's examples too and the original video, but these are all quite different skin tones/overall grades, and rightly so, given the different purposes for the work...

This looks way too red too me as well. Dont forget too that our computer monitors all display color very differently as well. My mac is worlds away from my pc laptop.

kamalettin, the screenshot you posted is underexposed and oversaturated in the red channel,
her skin is too red, it's not neutral at all...

(on a calibrated monitor)

did you do it on purpose to show the red channel saturation of alexa or you see it neutral on your monitor?

i did it on purpose..

The camera with the best skin tones or color handling overall is in my opinion the Sony F65. It's process with a two-layer sensor creates some magic when debayered.
People argue about "what skin tones really is" because people have so many different skin tones, but in my opinion the "skin tones"-discussion is about the handling of different colors present in a certain skin. Everyone has a complicated palette of colors in their skin and different cameras handle these differences in their own way. Problem with Red that I found is that it doesn't handle these differences very well. When grading something from a Red camera it's always tricky or impossible to get a nice looking skin because the color transitions aren't "even".
It's like the transitions between colors in someones face handles like banding on a low bit image. I'm not sure about the science behind it, but both Arri and Sony (F65) manage to get a smoother transition between differences in a specific skin palette.

@Bjorn, I could not possibly agree with you more.

@Christoffer, >>The camera with the best skin tones or color handling overall is in my opinion the Sony F65. +1 on this! But @ $65k to start...

@Kemalettin, The Red color is the most difficult color to be reproduced digitally, I tried all cameras except Dragon but a lot with the Epics and I can say that Red color is tricky. You will need to pay huge attention to Exposure. Then it's a matter of detailing the look in RCX. Dragon should be a little or a lot better.

I think what you want is colorist and stylist experience, that's different. That takes yrs to perfect. All the colors and reds are in your r3d files for sure.
An alternative is to store the looks you want in the camera itself so you'll be able to select the looks like in the first video you posted or the pic you posted.
In any way I use After Effects and there are endless ways to get the looks you want there with all kinds of plugins and effects.

This is with the Epic, I could see endless gradation which is really a very hard test for any digital camera. Most others look like posterized!

This is straight from the MX!!
