Very fast - the new Lexar 300x 8 gig, Jim said will work. Red will list ones that should work and sell their own brand guaranteed to. You can search the forum for this thread.

I think flameop's refering to 2k since it ought to be lower than that required for 4k.

But the lexar's do indeed offer the best of both worlds.

Once the 32 or 64 GB hits.. I will be happy

[Steve Freebairn]

64 gb cf cards, mmmmm, tasty.

[Brook Willard]

For 2K... I'd assume roughly 1/4-1/3 the data rate. That said, I'd put the money down for fast cards to be 100% sure.

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Cineform Raw 2k out of the SI is 10-12MBs. Probably a good place to start in your planning.

[Gunleik Groven]

Buy cards that can handle the full bandwith.

No headroom=no head

RED has stated that they will be offering their own brand of CF cards.

[Jannard]

We will and it will be the fastest, sexiest CF card ever made.

Jim

[Brook Willard]

Warp Speed!

[shaftbond]

Warp speed huh?

Better hurry, Lexar has recently announced they are closing in on ludicrous speed.

Not to mention the price which I am confident will be attractive as well. I am holding off on any CF purchases for my slr until these become available.
