RED Camera Series: Repairing a DSMC 1 camera (Scarlet/Epic)

Hi guys,
I’ve always wanted a RED camera every since I found out they existed but couldn’t afford to buy one. This year all that changed in a unique way. I was able to afford two defective REDs. I noticed know no one on the internet had given any insight on how to repair these cameras and since RED doesn’t offer repair for DSMC 1 cameras anymore I decided to do it myself. I’ve created a YouTube series called ”RrED Camera Series”. On the show a take you through the camera and through my journey of finally owning a working RED camera and also becoming the first to show the process. Thank you. I'm Honestly grateful for the support. There's a lot of veteran RED owners in here and i'm only a few weeks in and i'm trying to accomplish what RED say can't be and hasn't been done. Means a lot that you guys are supporting me in this.

This is incredible man. Have a RED Dragon 6k that is still producing incredible images and I have no need to upgrade yet. Being able to repair it if anything happens is huge for me, thought my beast was close to the end. Ty very much

You’re welcome man. I’m hoping to work out a deal with a company that has a 6k dragon. This just as exciting for me as it is for you guys. I never thought I’d be able to afford this camera but life has brought me the knowledge and will power to attack this thing head on. Red isn’t much help to the legacy guys so I’m trying to feel that void.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. For right now a DSMC2 is still the dream. I’m just appreciative that I have a Red camera at all after years of dreaming about having one.
