The website for the custom Camera Bag, EVF Sleeve, and pouches for LCD (5.6), Drive and Bricks I had made, is now running under its own name.
www.molly-b.com
Briefly as this is in another thread, the bags allow items to be packed into back packs, carry bags etc and still remain protected.
A couple of kits are being reviewed in the field at the moment.
Even better pricing now.
As far as the website goes, I did it myself for financial reasons, so go easy on me ... I am a Make Up Designer not a web expert.
Have a look.

Regards

Sarah

just curious... why would someone put a single battery in a single bag?????

Well in some parts of the world people do actually find themselves breaking kits down into lighter configurations to enable one to back pack gear or place in a Helicopter cargo locker etc.
Having personally wrapped RED batteries, LCD, EVF in hand towels to try and provide protection to these items and helped carry them where cars cannot go I thought this idea may help people who cannot always pull up in the camera truck.
The camera bag flies most weeks between Jakarta and Bali and allows the camera to comfortably go as carry on.

Each to their own I guess...

That's what I figured. My stills camera kit often gets thrown into an unpadded consumer backpack for stealth and non-steal-me-ness, and have resorted to towels and stuff to protect from scratches! If you make it, they will come (hopefully!). I'd prefer the usual gearhead all black though...

Thanks Eric,

They are a long time coming ... but people who actually understand are sending appreciative comments.

Still even if it has been a waste of time at least some of the local RED community are happy users.

Rest assured black was and remains the first color off the ranks.

Some of our Drives have chips and dents on them from being carried in run bags or Carry on and not being packed properly. Those Drive sleeves are a nice thought. You could embroider them with company names or logos, that would be pretty cool.

interesting idea, will check out the other stuff. one thought on the brick bag...maybe make a mini opening to check battery levels without having to pull it out?

Hi Clint,

There are a couple of changes I would like to make but I would like to move a few sets first. Your idea of the Battery check window is interesting, but the walls are semi rigid, it would be a case of playing around to see if it could be done without compromising this and still allow the wee check button to be pressed.
Next time I am talking to the makers about some more I will ask.

Thanks for the input though.

Hi Andrew,

Yes names etc can be screen printed on, no problem.

i applaud the effort Sarah. Those who rather take the piss do it as a reaction without thought to the fact that there are 6000+ reds and a need for any and all accesories out there. I remember the Music video days when the cameraman wanted to Run & gun and god forbid you didnt have an xtra bat or now drive with you. Might add the pouches to the camerabag and make room for a lens and colapsable lensshade in the bag itself...just thoughts.
wish you all the best
cheers

I meant also without the pretty patterned trim (bit too girly for some of us blokes!)

If there were a way to have a velcro or zipper opening to allow the Brick to be mounted without removing the pouch it would make for a must have cold weather accessory!

Nice work!

One more vote for no trim

One more vote for no trim

Hi,

I think these are a good idea, and I didn't want to discourage their development. That said, the trim makes them look more like fashion accessories as opposed to working tools IMHO.

As a sanity check I showed a photo to my teenage daughters who thought they were "cute", but laughed out loud, long and hard, thinking about me using them for camera work. The red LCD cover was the one that got the most ridicule.

Plain colors, no fancy patterns or piping, and I'd seriously consider buying.

I'm sure there are some that would disagree, but I'd bet that the majority of shooters would prefer something a little less fashionable.

My $.02

Exactly why I'm not considering...

Why not just black? Or red?
