  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED BULL STRATOS - A look at the cameras

Im looking at the cameras and its interesting Red One, LMP HD1200 and 5D.

Looking on the shelf behind me are Red One (and Epic), LMP HD1200 and 5D.

I think we made the right choice !

Having been involved with this project for a little while...... they went with R1s because the capsule, camera mounts and pressurized enclosures were all designed and built before Epic was available. R1 is essentially a part of the capsule design.
Project Startos has been going on for 5 years now.
Yeah, I remember a more detailed video last year talking about outfitting the red's for near space conditions. I wasn't sure if in the meantime they had explored other options.

here in germany we look "servus tv HD" from the Austria neighbour guys - they broadcast whole day of their national hero - lots of Red Cameras were shown and explained one hour before.
Cool Stuff. Best sunday entertainment

This is so cool!

Congrats on RED's involvement. I'm watching live and just saw a MAG/Clip & Timecode readout that looked very familiar on one of the cameras.

That is unbelieveable !

Un-freaking-believable! Congratulations to all at RED for the part you played in this amazing adventure!

Felix landed safely. Pro moves during that early decent to stabilize. Congratulations!

Wow. Incredible to watch.

Graeme

that was awesome! Great job, Felix. Can't wait to see the Red footage and to get the official statistics!

Like this :-)

Saw the familiar clip and timecode on the screen and came here to post.

Congratulations, you just helped make a little bit of history there!

I just have to wonder now, how many other places have a RED camera gone, that we're not even aware of.
