Youtube is like sub-NTSC/over the air quality. Not really a meaningful quality comparison. But nonetheless nicely done.

i know, i know.

specs on the Flip Mino HD can be found on amazon i'm sure. it sucks unless you have it on a tripod. and dont use the digital zoom, it gets kinda blurry. otherwise, its a good consumer HD cam for 200 bucks. its superlight, smaller and lighter than a phone. plugs right into your laptop with a flip out usb. two clicks and its on facebook or youtube etc. insane.

The Mino is great for the price but has no cinematic character like the RED. The Mino has an extremely wide depth of field and the video seems cold unlike the Warm video from the Red, the RED feels more at home.

This would be PERFECT for spy video! You could slip the tiny camera into a jacket pocket and make some kind of hole for that little lens. Plus it looks more like a cell phone than a camcorder. OR you could take it skydiving or something :-) The possibilities are endless...

I have a Mino HD - and I have to admit - I LOVE it - for home movies of my sons - location scouting - and video for blogging - but image quality is PRETTY BAD - but for $200 and it fits in your shirt pocket - it still serves a market. I bought one. You need to hit it with a ton of post make it sexy - I'm actually going to be video blogging NAB for POST MAGAZINE with it.

Cool. How are you going to be handling audio?
