Rear Protection?

Theres a real need for some kind of back protection cap or simple lock on cover for Epic when theres no red mote or module attached. Pins can be easily knocked and bent. (seen it)

Even if red motes were available at the moment, in a shooting environment they'd probably be around the 1st AC's neck so the back still needs protection especially if your running it in lightweight, steadicam or still mode And no i dont want to stick gaffa over it.

The back pack seems like an expensive way just to protect the pins..

I've personally got the backpack coming and am hoping it does the trick. Can anyone using this system tell me how quick you can remove the backpack and attach the redmote? (For example, if the battery dies in the redmote and needs to be attached to the camera to charge.)

Are there also pins on the back of the redmote (I assume there are) and does this also need some kind of protection from the elements like the back of the camera does?

The last thing that would be nice is if the quad battery charger or similar had a connection that allowed it to charge the redmote as well as batteries at the same time.

I haven't gotten my Epic yet, just trying to think ahead a put together a solid package ahead of time.

Flat mating pins. Such contacts are usually pin against flat. Since Epics back is pinned, the REDmote has..

We just need a simple plastic or rubber back cover. Why hasn't Red made one? It seems obvious to me. They have the CAD drawings already. We need to protect our cameras.
