Read that there was some request for "real world" IMS-mount footage: here are some stills. IMS+PL+Red18-50 / +Canon EF+100mm 2.8 Macro. All artefacts due to jpeg-compression. all shots touched a bit with RedAlert! and/or RedCine. Build 15. Enjoy it!

Awesome - thanks.

Any chance of 4k grabs?

Yes. But no tiff (48MB), will PM you high-res-JPEGs (tell me which ones). It is the f...ing best thing about this camera - the versatility. I have been dreaming about shooting Macro since when I started my company back in March 2001. Now it has come true. If I ever win any award - got some great projects coming along, both science and nature - I flood the RedCamp (where ever it may be) with the best of South Tyrolean red wines. Promised! This cam is the most astonishing product of engineering since the invention of NLE. It changes everything, really. And I am not expert when touching the color wheels - wait till I let do some real CC on it.

All the best, Fritz

oh yeah, that's what i'm talkin about!!! - that's the best argument i've seen for the IMS mount, pretty macro shots with a 100mm macro, that's always been one of my favorite still lenses.

thanks for sharing those, it's great to see our hopes for using RED in nature and science applications coming closer and closer to coming true.

good question. do you have to set the aperture using a separate camera body?

one nice thing of the cam is that you can change the ASA :innocent: and the shutter speed. added a pole-filter for outside-shots. when my RRmicro mattebox arrives, I plan to use ND filters. the best solution would be the birger mount, naturally.

thanks for all that positive response! Fritz

ps. me shooting in the vineyards

Fritz,

I'm happy that other IMS user are participating here with a content.

Hope you are happy with IMS on RED.

Fritz,

Gratuliere!

Congratulation!

Thanks Sanjin!

Thanks above all for initiating all this (doesn't your name mean "a man who has got dreams" or so in Croatian?)! As said in another thread, I will bring you some bottles of Lagrein Dunkel Riserva to Vienna - because you are a true connaisseur of everything that is high quality red  I'll be there from Aug 31 to Sept 4 - and what I am still lacking are time-lapse tests. You sure know the best places where to shoot at night. I will meet with a friend from Romania to do some screenwriting, and he not only is an exceptional storyteller, but also a good DoP. Would be nice to meet you somehow to celebrate the RedOne by producing some nice images of this very nice city!

Hans,

Thanks for all your valuable input - I'll come back to you in a month on behalf of my storage questions!

Best to all, Fritz

Hi Fritz,

yes my name in Croatian means "a man who has got dreams" or you can try to translate in English as a Dreamer.

In a life is very important to bring your dreams to reality as much as you can.

Thanks for a wine offer.

Also I am a big wine lover.

But from August 31 to September 07 I'll be in Paris.

So we cannot meet now but maybe in a future.

Also I'll PM you address of my shop and you could drop wine there if you want.

Regards

Sanjin

So how about Sept 17? In the afternoon I will meet with ORF Universum... Sure there will be something to celebrate afterwards!
