  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ready, Aim... Fire.

The RED Pro Primes are really incredible... resolution up the a$$. I'm not quite sure why they aren't better received considering the price. They are Master Primes less half a stop.

I was stepping out for the evening and saw this "old grabs" mixed with new code. Dammit Jim. Now I want this real bad.

I use the RED Pro Primes exclusively. I would love 'Anamorphics' by RED. :)
 
One more with RG3/RC3 and RPP.

I'm actually trying to upload larger files. Not sure why they are constrained. Maybe Jarred has a "throttle Jim's images" algorithm. :-)

I found the RPP's to be excellent and sharp and good contrast all over. the only thing I can think of is that what I like to call brand wanking. people want to be seen wearing nike's , it doesn't matter whether they are better or not they just want the badge. which I thinks is dumb because it should be about the image. I know a few dp's who will buy leafs for their matte boxes cheap but will by an arri top brow just so people see the name. I care about results not brandnames

As i think back to 2006, it's quite surreal how you captured the hearts of so many of us who put our faith in you from the start, going solely on your words, on your promise ; and suddenly we found ourselves defending this dream whenever someone accused it of being "vaporware" or "scam" We just knew this was real...I'm proud of that.

The RPP's really are amazing... We have played with a ton of lenses over the last half a year, and the RPPs continually beat most in resolution and field illumination.
 
I think I have just talked Jarred into unleashing the image size... let's see.

I agree with you, Jim. I've been very happy with the RPPs. Very amazed at how sharp they are wide open.
