Anyone else having this problem? Especially when I save the project, or change ISO.

Which OS are you seeing this issue on? I have been unable to duplicate this issue you are both seeing on my MAC and Windows machines. If you can please enable verbose logging in the preferences window, duplicate the crashing issue and send the logs to redcinex at red dot com. Thanks.

I get frequent crashes on Windows 7 x64. Beta version 8 through 10. The interface simply closes without warning.
It's usually after having to use the ctrl-alt-delete trick a few times to get it to respond after making the mistake of using a slider.

It even occurred last night when I was testing my new Red Rocket. Other than for Red Trim I prefer to use the Premiere source file adjustment interface as RedCinex is more or less unusable.

I have the same issue about RCP and Windows in general freezing after using main the ISO slider. Ctrl-Alt-Del works.

The odd thing here is that occasionally happens. It's not happening all the time.

Armen, your RCX pro hasn't crashed like almost every other time you use it? It's the most unreliable piece of software I have. It's nice that it's free and all, but it's causing some major rage in my office. I'm running Mac OSX 10.6.8 3.2 GHz quad-core Xeon, 8GB RAM.

Steve,
Are you running the most current build of RCX-Pro (beta 10??) Have you been able to email in the log files to redcinex at red dot com?? Once we get those they may shed some light on what is causing the issue.

Thanks.

Armen,
Yep, I'm in v10. I haven't been working with RCX lately. I'll open it up again today and get it to crash and send the report. Hopefully it'll help. Thanks!

I get the whole computer hanging up often when using RCX. If I have a task manager open I can see RCX using 10% cpu during the hangups. A cntrl-alt-del and hitting switch user, then returning to the UI usually fixes the problem. Can't kill the task as the UI is NG. This problem seems common. It makes me uneasy to get into RCX to do anything.

Sorry that you guys are having trouble... I have been working 5 straight weeks on 5 different National Commercials (12-16hrs a day) and I had Redcine X Pro 9 quit on me only 4 times. Each time it did I was just scrubbing incoming mags-no dailies. And only twice on my ingest machine did I get some image hangs. Once I restarted RCX Pro V9 and everything was fine... The other time all I did was bring the ingest system down and reboot and everything was fine.

My RED Rocket station (RCX 506) has performed flawlessly with zero hangs, freezes or shut downs.

Not trying to be a contrarian bastard, just reporting from the field that all is going well on two systems that work 12-16hrs a day, 5-6 days a week.

I hope everyone here gets their issues resolved swiftly...

Cheers- Andrew

I was hoping that release 11 might get somewhere, but it's business (or not) as usual. RedColor and RedGamma 3 look great. Unfortunately RedCineX 11 is still unusable on my W7 x64 system with a Red Rocket and a GT580. Touch a slider and it needs Ctrl Alt Delete. I'm going to have to stick with Adobe's 'source properties'.

okay, we're gonna get to the bottom of this starting tomorrow. Please respond to our request for logs etc. when we contact you guys :)

Phil: can you email me? (rob at red)

Thanks,

I'm having problems as well, especially with release 11.
I am transcoding with my Redrocket card on a MacPro using 10.7.3 operating system and it locked up and I get the spinning beach ball of death!
I reinstalled an relier release and it seems a bit more stable.

Me too, wanted someone else to say it first. Running 10.7.3 on a 12 core 2010 Mac
