  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RAVEN RIGS

Hey Jordan, can you let me know what the length of the rails you are using? (For example, the first picture & fourth picture)
And, are you using anything to support the lens in the front and the I/O hardware in the back?

those are 8 inch in the front and yes there is a lens support bracket that come with the lens, and in the back are 6 inch carbon fiber rails, but the only thing that is mounted on them is a B-box for sync and triggering, the rest of the modules are all attached to each other with no rail support.

I hung my Raven upside down on a Dana Dolly for some low to the ground slides yesterday. Worked surprisingly well, although it's amazing how much more difficult a simple task like changing a filter becomes when you have to do it upside down! Eventually I plan to get a top plate that I can use to undersling the camera and orient it right side up.

Can you tell me more about your setup? What size/brand rails are you using? Which matte box? How do you like using the XL batteries? Thanks, I am trying to decide.
 
I got a few cables and stuff from Wooden Camera yesterday. Love this set up. Been shooting a commercial mostly hand held with an Easyrig today. Worked great.
Sorry for the crappy picture;-)

I got a pogo to Lemo cable to use my original Red Viewfinder, a pass through top plate, a pogo to pogo cable to move the 4.7" screen flipped to the other side of the camera.
And a sledge for the viewfinder that I hang off a nato rail.

Hi Michael. Can you tell me a little more about your rig? Your base plate and roads are from wooden camera? Also your arm? The cable pogo to pogo i see clearly that it is from there.
I just receive my raven and i need all of this because my rigs for my FS700 is a little "bulky" i think.
Another thing: this cable extension is enough to mont it in a Ronin? Thanks so much for your time.
