  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

But as we get further away from the announcement date, in theory there should be less orders to fill which would make it go at faster than a 1:1 allocation to order week ratio, ya know

Of course. Just saying that at least right now this is still not the case.
 
So here's a question...I'm going to be out on vacation during half of December....what happens if I get my allocation email during that time and I want to wait until I get back in Jan. to get my camera shipped? I guess the question is, how long will RED hold my Raven for me after I get notified of allocation?

Some one else can chime in, but I specifically remember something similar being asked and the response from Red was along the lines of.. You're allocated, and have x amount of days to handle payment and if you don't handle in x amount of days, you'll be bumped to the next bach of allocations for shipping. (After payment was handled)

Assuminh payment was handled, I think it'll just ship with that January (using your vacation example) batch when you've told Red you're ready for shipping.

Contact your rep ahead of time and tel them the situation, they can probably work something out where you pay and they hold off on shipping until you return. That way you don't lose your spot in line

Thanks Scott & Darryl - figured they can most likely work out a ideal shipping plan for my camera as there is no way in hell I'm going to have it delivered to my front door for weeks while I'm out.

Now....back to people posting allocations! :)

you have to pay within 10 days.
though you can contact your rep now and im sure work something out for them to hold off on shipping, they obviously dont want to ship to someones door that is not there. if i was you, id probably open up a UPS store box while you are gone anyway, then change your account to that address.
 
Hoping these last 2 weeks of Sept. are special as far as allocations. Otherwise Oct. is going to be pretty uneventful.. (Except for the other side of the Red family w/ the Helium announcements and all that excitement). Fingers crossed!

The RED guys originally quoted us a September-October delivery. I just got off the phone with Brian Wilcox who said it's looking more like October-November with an announcement from Jared coming in October.

so he just told you your march order will be there in october or november?
