  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I sure as shit hope so lol. I can't imagine very many 3rd party bulk orders went in after 5pm on a Friday. But what do I know :). At this point I've waited long enough anyways, I guess another month or two wouldn't be the end of the world. I just can't wait to get my hands on it, gonna make it all worth it.
 
The longer I'm waiting for mine, the more time I have to think about my order and other potental cameras and/or big ticket items I'd could be buying right now. :|

Yeah, I knew i was going to have a hard time just having that much extra funds sitting in my account for that long, so I paid in full a while ago. It helped a little bit, but also I bought a lot of accessories a la carte right after September so it would be such a pain in the ass for me to re sell and invest in other gear.

A buddy of mine caved and picked up a used Scarlet MX package and he's happy with it, but after getting my hands on a DSMC2 camera to play with and test out did wonders, it really is an amazing step forward from the older formfactor. Im still really happy with my decision.

I hear you.
I've been craving some of used gear that's in the Red Marketplace section. I mean a used Epic MX for almost the same price as a fully packaged Raven... Sure its older tech, but its still 5K @ 120fps.

That's for sure one way to help with the wait! For me, I still have my deposit w/funds in the bank but have not pulled the trigger on any Red-specific accessories yet (going to wait till I actually have the camera in my hands to commit further funds). I'm moving up from the amazing Samsung NX1.

I shot a commercial on a Red One a few months back, still such a beast in its own right. All of these cameras are more than capable to create beautiful images in most situations, but in the end tools are just tools, no single tool will cover every job. Just don't ask me to do a whole day of hand held with that bad boy, my back wont stand for that anymore :P

DID YOU LIKE THE BASEPLATE ? ONLY 200€ (about 220$) including international shipping.

Thats a multiuse (compatible with other cameras) baseplate, new + 15mm bars + protective rubbers, all robust and lightweight aluminium, for only 200 € including worlwide shipping. Few units remains onstock. Letme know if you're interested.

Couple of questions:
-When did you order (timestamp)?
-When did you get allocated?
-I'm interested in the baseplate, but without risers how does a mattebox fit?

Allocated one month ago approx.
Baseplate is sold as I write, as you can see on pics for 200€, prices will go up this week.
You can use several FF and MB that can adjust the height, FF example from edelkrone. MB I have no bear in mind right now, but Im almost sure there are.

WOW.............finally out of 9/25! Now that day one is over, it will be even more interesting to see how fast they get through the rest........till next Thursday....
