  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Yes. But not as much as you would probably think. But I think you're before the boost in Raven orders before the price increase, so it'll probably help but...... Eh (just my opinion)
 
I received the allocation email last night for my RED Raven Jetpack Package. Unfortunately I'm in transit today, so I'll likely pay off the order tomorrow or at least by Monday. I am already listed on the Raven que but my order was placed 9/25/15 - 11:18 AM.

Ordered 9/25/15 at 1:07pm EST and just got my allocation. Hi to the motha f'n HO! People are gonna be rave'n bout my new camera.
 
I think without retailers things are gonna move a little bit faster :)

Got my Raven today from Omega Broadcast. It is a beast. I hope to test out a bunch this weekend. The build quality is outstanding.

They may be trying to match inventory with orders now. The rush to buy (new orders) may be winding down.

This is good news. I remember the scarlet-w's started flying out after that first couple of days but now it's slowed again because of the December announcement orders. The Raven won't slow at December at least. Once it picks up steam hopefully it maintains it

Anyone can answer this... how comfortable are you with the weight of cine lenses on these bodies?
I got a set of Xeen lenses myself and the weight of them, kind of scared of the mount being ripped from the brain. I know its battle tested... but still, I'm only scared because its unequal weight distribution, you are holding the camera body and the lens is unsupported.
Or do you get a rail system that supports both camera and lens?

Let's hope that's so! But I've been away on a gig all week so I haven't been following as much, was this hinted at anywhere or just based of retailers would've most likely ordered bulk at the start of business hours after the announcement?
 
My retailer said they ordered bulk and some Raven packages are already 'trickling' in - one or two at a time. But they're expecting a big batch soon....waiting!

batteries are generally heavier then the lenses, we actually had to add weight to the front to balance for steadicam.

It´s not for my clients, we are a Record Label and we work for clients. but it´s for the label for the videos for our bands or producers, interviews etc etc....

I can´t rent . I spend my video budget on Scarlet -w and Modules bateries etc.

And all our marketing plans and Releases are stop, waiting the camera.

I messaged Kalum Ko on Facebook, and he informed me that he switched to a Scarlet W, and is no longer waiting on a Raven Allocation.

Which means WE'RE NEXT! (based on this totally unofficial queue that has been extremely accurate!)

Jordon Rioux and I are patiently awaiting an allocation! Hope to see one this week!
