Thanks Joey. He just wrote me back saying that it will take at least 2 weeks after allocation. I bought it from RED UK.
Bummer its taking so long, but at least you know there isn't anything to be concerned with.

No, it has the same Dragon sensor technology its just a smaller size with a limited data rate. I assume he was referencing the crop factor from the smaller sensor vs the 5 and 6k versions.
crop factor it´s 1.8
I know I have been kind of the "crop police" around here, trying to fix these DSLR derived misconceptions. But all I really need to do is to point out this for those that haven't seen it:

It shows that "Eye In The Sky" was shot by a BSC DP in 4.5K on the Dragon sensor. I guess he didn't think the "dreaded" crop factor was something to worry about...
Well then... if that doesn't matter... according to the Coen brothers, neither does changing lenses:

And, if sensor size + lens don't matter... come on someone... make a damn feature film with an iphone.

When it comes to terms like crop-factor - they are inevitably "relative" terms and you needs to specify your reference.
Folks with motion pictures background use S35 as the standard, where the 35mm relates to the width of the film strip as it passed the camera vertically.
Folks with stills background use FF35 as the standard, where the 35mm relates to the height of the film strip as it passed the camera horizontally.
The S35 has been golden standard in cinema industry for decades and this is why many cinema lenses do not cover sensors larger the S35.
This is why folks with motion pictures background do not talk about crop-factor.
This terms comes from stills world and only risen with the switch to digital sensors - which were (for the most part) "cropped" versions of the film gate.
As DSLR begun to be used to film motion pictures - the term crop-factor inevitably entered the motion pictures industry.
So in general (and yes - there are exceptions) folks "complaining" about crop-factors come from stills / DSLR background.
This is one of the reasons why I like the Scarlet MX and now the Raven so much - as they pretty much match the S35 motion pictures format and feel very natural to me.
So nobody is wrong (or right for that matter) when it comes to this subject.
We just need to recognise that these days people come to the motion pictures industry with various backgrounds and are used to different terminologies.
Having said that - just like I advocate that people should learn the language of the country they decide to live in - folks who come to the motions pictures industry should learn and adopt the "cinema" language...
Just my two yen...

Any new allocations? Looks like no one has said anything... I wonder if they will at least pass the 24 hour mark by the end of the month.
Its all been a ploy to get everyone upgrading to the Scarlet - W haha :cryin:Any new allocations? Looks like no one has said anything... I wonder if they will at least pass the 24 hour mark by the end of the month.
Raven #664 "Le Prince" has arrived and she's absolutely beautiful.
My previous camera was an URSA so I almost wept when I pulled the brain out of the box and felt just how light it was.
It felt like a long time waiting eight months to receive this camera but I can already tell that every day was worth it.
Thanks so much to my Bomb Squad rep, Austin Cooper, and the surprisingly awesome people at AbelCine (Brian Byrne, Andrew Finkel, Lauren Lees, and others) who took great care of me once I transferred my order over to them.
