  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Raven Queue Put Together

I've been awaiting the release of the UM46 since it was announced, I'm a previous BM proponent. I've shot red before and loved the experience, so totally I finally said forget the UM and put a deposit on a Raven. Totally late to the party and it'll be months before I see it, but man am I stoked for what's to come. This camera for the cost, even after the price bump seems like the perfect way to get into this ecosystem.

Thats what I've been saying, before the Raven.... It was a very hefty price to get into the ecosystem.
Sure, after getting all the basic components to get you up and running, you might be paying twice the amount for a UM46, but down the road when you want to upgrade... You only need the body. The handles, the monitor and batteries should still be reusable on the new body.

Just got my shipping notice. Allocation was on Friday with instant payment. Shipping notice on Monday. Brain only...

I ordered in the first 3 or 4 hours when it was announced on 9/25 and my allocation came in about a week and a half ago
 
It seems most of the big blasts have been going out on thursday afternoons. If I remember correctly there was on really substantial blast on a Tuesday where a lot of people reported allocations. I think 9/25 at 3:40 AM is the last direct order I've seen that got an allocation. Hopefully this Thursday another big chunk of the list will be taken care of.

I'm sure some jetpacks have gone out, I would just assume the I/O's are way more popular, so out of the small fraction of buyers who keep up with the forums thats mostly what's been ordered. Also not everyone specifies what they ordered/received.
 
It's mid May and it seems RED hasn't made a dent in the Raven allocations !?!? "Month of the Raven" lol.

If you go through the recon thread Brent was very open about their projections for this month and compared to the queue before May its a pretty solid improvement and a lot to be greateful for.

I agree with you kristopher patience is a virtue. However it'd be nice if they could at least get through the first couple of days of orders. I know it's hard and the engineers are working hard and doing their best to get those cams out. But I also feel that is not our fault for feeling a bit "impatient", it is not the costumers fault. At the same time I cant even begin to understand what it takes to make one these thing work and be reliable thats why im not so upset about It. I rather get something that is going to work well and not a rushed out half baked brick. I just wish they'd be getting cameras out a little faster.
 
Picking my Raven up in the morning. I had moved my order to a local retailer though.
 
Deposit placed on a Raven on 4/21, 12:06. Are there really only 120 people on this list?
 
This list is not even close this is just a fraction of the orders Red has. This is only the people that have participated in this thread.
