  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ha! yup Reuben, that jordan was just stating his place in line, but hopefully he gets allocated soon too!
i am allocated though, got it yesterday, made my payment and waiting for it to show up at the red store, very very excited!

You guys are right. I got too excited. But congrats to both Jordans anyway! @Jordan Levy - I can't wait to see what you create once your new baby is in your hands!

Hopefully the gap between your stamp and mine isn't 5000 cameras, haha. I know the site was hard to navigate when I did it. I almost completed initial payment an hour earlier, but then the site timed out on me!

good luck joe! ill keep you guys updated on when mine arrives. yeah i would of even been sooner but there was a problem with check out on small computer screens for the first night, you couldnt scroll all the way down to click on buy! i had to quickly go to another computer, my wifes work pc, so that slowed me down a bit too.

I forgot about it that day and went to bed. I was reading reduser in bed, and I was like WTF@!???!!11! So I jumped out of bed and scrambled to my computer, because I had similar issues with my phone, and it barely loaded the site when I got to my computer. I ordered, it went through all the way, and then failed. Then I did it again. I think I got the time for the first stamp though because I ended up with two orders and they, thankfully, cancelled the extra one automatically the next day.

I started buying accessories finally, now that it's so close. B&H is closed for Passover. :/ Oh well. Can't win 'em all.
 
If anyone updates the list again, the guy behind me, Sean #24 switched to Scarlet. :)
 
When switching from Raven to Scarlet W, do I keep my timestamp oder will I start at the end of the line?

Shot a six pack of indies on the 2.5, then switched a 4.6 for a S-MX, now in love. not looking back; went from fed ex right to a commercial shoot. Already taken care of. Solid. Thx RED.

Thx Peter, no I found a minty fresh S-mx here and it's literally been booked since. I'm chill for the Raven with my deposit and know the boys are jamming on the one, until then the scarlet is everything I've hoped for - what a great time to get into DSMC1 parts and hardware after shooting on black magic for years now so it's refreshing to get into a new look. Total lurker helping friends shoot red ones almost 10 years ago and really have a lot of respect for the interactivity with this community I promise to never say a 50 is not a 50 or ask about something that's clearly not in the FAQ around here ha ha. I know a lot of guys are kind of watching the Raven influx and I say we just shoot the best scenes we can with each shot and hold up our end of the deal with creative and well composed shots. Anybody like me kind on the fence I say just do it and never look back put on a nice shirt go to the nice hotel rub some back to some tourist ladies get any kind of money anyway you can and buy a used Scarlet -will be the best thing that ever happened to you till you get your Raven
