  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I guess the "hope" part is what really gets us. It's like a rollercoaster of emotions during a "(Insert Month here) update". It's hard being one of the first guys in line, eh? lol
 
Has anybody an idea how long the waiting time will be, if you switch from the Raven to the Scarlet-W now?
How is the Scarlet-W delivery going overall right now?

Depends on your timestamp. I'm sure it will be after NAB for sure.

what makes it so certain that if you move to a retailer you will get it faster?
 
Because both RED and the Retailer told me. Plus it's a large LA retailer who got their bulk order in early. RED rep even recommended I do it. So makes sense.
 
Anyone from page 1 get their Raven yet? Just need to know who on that list got it from RED.com and which one is through a retailer?
That way, we all can gouge how far up the list we are at, seeing how fast Red has satisfied their customers and how long it will take the rest of us to get our hands on a Raven.

Nope! Still keeping my V Lock package order with RED though
 
Also no sign of the Raven here - and my rep told me that switching to a dealer will most certainly cause a delay in my order. My best guess is that few specific dealers who managed to put their order in at the same time as we (individuals) did, might get theirs early - hopefully still allocated based on time-stamps.
I still find it frustrating that we don't see any in the wild - especially from the early group. I know of only two units actually delivered - Andrew (as listed on first page) and Kwan in NY. Even if dealers have managed to place their bulk orders in early and they are the ones getting Ravens delivered - you would assume they just pass them on to their customers.
As I have said before - it is the "not knowing" part that is frustrating. RED has gotten much better at managing their production and releases. And both the Scarlet-W and even the individual accessories have a great deal of specific info available - including in the regular updates. Everything else but Ravens...
 
Now that NAB is over i reckon they'll start to flow. I reckon their main priority will be punching out as many cams as possible. I ordered on the first day and expect to notified in the next few weeks.
