  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Raven Queue Put Together

Looks like no one here is maintaining the list anymore. Is Raven virtually dead?

I hope that it is just stalled, and once they are over the hump of SW orders they get back to Raven???
The wait with no news as rough delivery date is very frustrating!!!
it is already over 13 months for me and no doubt many others.
 
So I was maintaining the list but I'm in process of upgrading to Epic-W now. My rep said that there is only a 2-3 week wait time.

Last update on here was that Victor (#86 on the list) was allocated.

So, you are moving one notch up. I have gone up to S-W, but going to Epic-W is beyond my capacity.

Just wondering if anyone who shifted from Raven to S-W have got any allocation!

Finalized my upgrade to Epic-W today - all of my accessories will be shipped to me starting in pieces next week (week of 2/13) and then the body under 3 weeks (possibly 2 weeks even). Only upgraded to Epic-W since it was "only" $10,000 more than the S-W instead of $20K more. I'm glad I was able to upgrade as I don't think I'd be happy with just hitting 5K provided by the S-W.

That's a big yes. S-W is shipping fast. One of our Raven orders from April 2016 was moved to SW in the summer and the SW showed up in October directly from RED.

You moved early. I waited for my Raven for more than a year (timestamp 1/12/2016) and have just moved to S-W (end Jan 2017) through a dealer. Initially they were confident that I should be allocated by February, but now they seem to have no clue. Looks like many are shifting to S-W and now S-W space is clammed up too!
 
It may go without saying though that time stamps mean nothing when it comes to dealers - only if you were ordering directly from RED. Last I checked, Scarlets were moving pretty fast so hopefully they still are because I'm thinking about selling one of our Ravens for a second SW.
 
Closing the loop for my RED camera journey - I had originally pre-ordered Raven on 1/15/16, swapped to S-W on 1/11/17 (upgrade pricing), swapped again to Epic-W on 2/10/17 (upgrade pricing), camera & accessories now allocated/shipping as of 2/14/17. Never thought I'd be getting an Epic-W when I started out with a Raven but funny how things turn out for the better :D

Oh no Subrata, I ordered in December 2015 - I think if you have waited a year you mean your original time stamp was 1/12/15 not 2016?
If you did originally order in 2015 maybe you can contact your RED rep and explain your mistake of giving up your time stamp.
I have just been allocated my Raven from a December 2015 timestamp and so you would be due your Raven or SW if you can plead to be back on the list????

Ordered December 2015.
I must admit this last month I started to look at other cameras, but I am glad that I have held out.

Richard, I booked on 12th January 2016. I have shifted to S-W, but retaining the timestamp. Going by your allocation, maybe I should have held on to Raven, that's a DEAL. But I don't actually mind getting a S35 sensor, changeable mount and upgrade option that S-W offers.

Hi Subrata, sorry my mistake - I get confused because in Australia we always put the day first then the month. I mis understood and had thought you had given up your timestamp with Red and had gone with a dealer with a new timeline. I imagine you get your SW soon. Best of luck.
 
Hey, I never got added to the queue, but I also ordered in late December 2015, and just heard as well that my Raven is available. And they say 3-5 days to process the order until the camera ships. So they must now be working through the final orders from 2015.

Good on you Mike, thanks for letting us know as I am sure it lifts everyones morale to know cameras are being allocated.

Haha, here in India too we put the day first then the month. British colonies. Cars are right hand drive too. :D

Just because I was posting in Red forum I wrote the American way!
 
JUST GOT ALLOCATED for my SCARLET-W!!!! I originally had my Raven Time-Stamp on 5th of Feb then I switched to SW and today I got an email from my rep telling me it's ready! :D

Congrats!! You will LOVE the Scarlet-W. when did you make the "switch" from Raven anyway?
