I noticed on the RED Raven webpage it says "ORDERS PLACED TODAY EXPECT TO BE SHIPPED IN EARLY 2017." I'm not sure how long this has been on the site and perhaps I have missed it for a while now. Obviously "Early 2017" is pretty vague, but I would say that would likely put arrival around 6 months out (mid Feb) if ordered today. This is lot less time than most people have been waiting since they put their deposit down. Seems like there cold be an increase in production and we will see much bigger jumps.

One can hope, right?

Technically 70ish people from the list have been allocated, so you arent really buried that deep if you think about it. Also the timedate jumps have been getting bigger and bigger. If you follow the Recon threads Jarred's mentioned a few reasons why in the next few months the pipeline of dragon sensors should open up even more. And beyond all of that, trust me it's worth the wait.

Yes, and you are most definitely not on your own. The Raven has allowed a lot of people, which would have never dreamed of owning a Cinema Camera of this quality, to enter an entirely different sphere of possibilities.

I'm using a Nikon D750 for all things that I do and I was considering everything from a FS7/5 to the Ursa, Kinefinity and the Aja Cion. But the different raw compression ratios and high framerate capabilities, in combination with the latitude and color science of the Dragon sensor, are incredible tools for a "little" more money.

I'm #107 and can't wait to get my hands on it either. If it means that I have to wait a while to get this camera for that price, I'll gladly do so.
Especially because all the People here at REDUSER are incredibly nice and helpful whenever a RED-Noob like myself ask ridiculously obvious questions.

Are we sure he meant allocated? I interpreted it that he wanted to be added to the list and therefore listed his order date.
