Hey guys, I'm extremely close to putting in my deposit for RAVEN.
I did some investigating last night looking at a fully ready to shoot bundle vs. getting the pieces/modules I would need to be "record ready". Keep in mind this is as minimal as you can get in terms of my functional requirements.
Basically it came down to this:
RAVEN Brain only w/ media bay - $5950
Plus it's nice the brain comes with the AC adapter so I can charge the below RedvoltXL on the module.
4.7” LCD - $1,450
REDVOLT XL Module - $1,150
Mini Mag 120GB - $850
Redvolt XL - $350
RED Station Red Mini-Mag (gotta import my media somehow ha) - $195
Handle (this could be removed as it will be on a tripod most of the time) - $150
Completed package, pre-tax: $10,095.00
I realize I'm going from a brick to Redvolt XL this route, but my requirements don't really call for a brick. Plus I'm assuming (emphasis on that word) RAVEN will be easier on power with its compact package.
Am I missing or overlooking anything? Any drawbacks to this vs. the Base I/O V-Lock bundle (again assuming that my requirements are minimal just as long as it's shoot-ready)?
Thanks for the input!
