Hey folks,
I'm going to be upgrading my Mac Pro with a few new internal hard drives, as well as some external hard drives for backup and overflow. My questions for everyone are:
What are the most reliable internal HD's with the most storage and the best price? I've seen the 1.5TB Seagates, but I thought I remembered hearing those failed at a rate of something like 50%? It'd be great to get at least 4TB inside my Mac.
I'm also quite unfamiliar with the concept of RAID and wondering what the advantages are vs. JBOD. I'm considering getting a hard drive enclosure that can hold 4 disks.
Thoughts?
