Copied my post to a thread...

Sorry for another dumb question, guys. I dont have R1MX in the ownership on my red.com account, but I want to upgrade one for the latest color science. Somehow I got v32.0.2 but I believe its outdated. Can someone drop me a PM with a link to grab v32.0.3 (if that's not a crime:)? BTW anyone having any issues with .3? Any cons?

Cheers!

Please don't provide any link. Maybe there is a stolen camara. It is fot that if you do not buy the camera on red.com or you don'pay for owner transfer, then you can't download the update. I believe that it is a good measure of protection for the genuine users.

Sorry i know i realy s@cks in english.

Agreed. If RED chooses to lock the firmware to owner only then it should stay that way.

I'd say you just need to speak with the person who owns your camera...

No offence!

This does not provide much of a protection, I guess. It is some sort of a fool-proofing though:) I understand that what I ask for is a sort of a favour from colleagues - thats why I dial direct to reduser.net not even checking Google. There's nothing to hide for me. I am dealing with "Captain" #2881 that I bought from local mate (who owns it officially) - you may find the trace of this serial here if you're still suspicious:) RED Transfer in Russia is "a bit difficult", unfortunately. But I am planning to do it anyway, because I want to keep R1 just for the historical sake...

Also, I wouldn't mind giving the update to a colleague on set, not bothering for proof of purchase. Really, come on :) I don't believe that thief would go registering here, giving his real name, photo and location.

But anyway, generally, I admit - you right - we should obey the rules. So just as I said - thread closed!
