"This is the camera I've been waiting for my whole career: jaw-dropping imagery recorded onboard a camera light enough to hold with one hand. I don't know how Jim and the RED team did it--and they won't tell me--but I know this: RED is going to change everything." Steven Soderbergh

Fucking hell! What a quote! Congrats Jim :-)

i'm more impressed that this managed to impress your wife than the actual quote.

That makes him the 1500th in line... :weight_lift:

Thanks Jim!

Soderbergh is a real indie guy.
I do have almost all his film in my DVD collection.

Don't know who this Sonderberg is, but his statement sounds very interesting!

Brilliant Jim ! Hearty congratulations from the UK. That must be a real shot in the arm for the whole RED team.

Whatever people think of Soderberghs' films his endorsment is extremely valuable for all us struggling indie film makers. Personnaly I like most of his stuff so I'm over moon! It sounds like it's more than good enough for him - so I'm sure it will do all I ask of it with room to spare.

Fantastic! All the best, Phil

This great news for all of us... contrary to popular belief most of these cameras are going to working professionals and it's impact will fill many articles, blogs and books to come.

Jim, I know these beta cameras are in extreme demand, but I have to ask... could a RED be made available so I could use it to shoot the BTS LART tests and all that they would entail? I ask because, we all have a very strong feeling that as time passes this footage will grow in historical significance. Any consideration is greatly appreciated by everyone here.

I cannot wait til november for my camera, lenses and accessories.

Thank you,

Andrew Benz

PS-A Happy fourth to everyone!
