We had the good fortune of being in the BandPro booth showing the QuineBox™IoT and workflows on a RED Monstro and we brought a little pointer towards IBC which is coming out of our collaboration with Microsoft lately.

Being able to instantly watch, share and edit shots from cameras like the Monstro 8k, seemed to please those stopping by.

We'll be back in LA for Cinegear and some more news.

After Cinegear, you'll be able to play with our tools in the BandPro office in Burbabank.

Thanks.

It's taking a bit of shape.

The big surprise (after building te database that drives this) is that there doesn't seem to be too many cloud solutions enabled for automatic metadata ingest.
Things are mainly made to be done very manually.

the little glimpse of multi-role bi-directional metadata support, caught an eye or two. Though that's not the main thing for what we'll show at IBC.

Engströms (http://engstroms.nu) is our distributing partner in Sweden and Denmark.

We look forward to work with them on making the QuineBox and the tech we develop around it available to Swedish and Danish customers.

Is now our Norwegian distribution partner. We look forward to work with them on arranging workshops and servicing customers in the near future.

Here's a small video showing the "basic" function of the box:

Thanks for this Gunleik- Qi is awesome. Feels so incredibly slick on MBP with MiniMag to SSD over USB-C, too.

I'll be at Cinegear with BandPro

You are #1 on my Cinegear list! If I understand it correctly, your tool will be indispensable. Can't wait to get the full scoop.

Cheers - #19

Great!

Hm. I'd love to go to the RED party... :)

From a test at SIMdigital.

Narcos DIT Carmen Del Toro will be running around with it on productions in LA from next week.
If you know her, hit her up.

There will be a unit on display at the BandPro Burbank offices from mid-week onwards.
I met a lot of great guys who wants to buy/use it at Cinegear, the box is finally "out of the box"

If you are in US/Canada, hit Jeffrey Reyes and Randy Wedick up at Bandpro.
Or just send me a message here, and I will hit you up with the right distributor.

From now until IBC, there will be a lot of activity in Europe and China.

We support ARRI and RED cameras, have started the implementing of Sony cameras and have agreements with Canon and Panasonic.

Later this week I will start writing up a manual.
It's pretty basic at this stage :)

And we'll have a UX team start coding on the user experience to make that a bit more sexy from now until IBC.

It's a dream if you have short turnaround and shoot with say the Monstro 8K

I had a chat with the fine guys at Pomfort and they had this comment:

"What you guys do isn't "Dailies", it's "Instants".

And: Yup we do those, and immediately available editorials.

It's tempting to quote ARRI on their Alexa launch:

Truly: Shoot - Watch - Comment - Edit
All immediate.

We have a few orders to fulfill, and we are ramping up production, but if you need it before August, you should contact me, Bandpro, Engströms, foto.no or me kind of now.

So finally the boxes are up and running at BandPro Burbank. Go there if you wanna play.

I have mostly been running around helping people setting them up.

It's kind of incredible to have them shoot tests in LA while I am in Oslo on a camera we have implemented, but not yet tested, and be able to sit at home and immediately be able to verify the integrity of what they do in LA.

We exchanged the files through Mediasilo for the Dailies (From now I'll call them "Instants")

Boxes from the 4th Batch in LA lining up for assembly in Norway.

We'll be getting them in the wild in LA and Beijing over the next week.

There is a bit of backorder, but talk to Bandpro and they'll probably help you out.

Shooting RED Helium, Alexa Mini and Venice, getting all the takes directly into editorial and to the QuineCore cloud with comments and multi-role sharing.

Edits done before we manage to offload the cards.

Pretty sweet.

Over the next month productions on 3 continents will be running concurrently on QuineBox™IoT, QuineCore and QuineIngest.
And we are very near the release of some much asked for side-products.

A whole range of them, in fact.

Exciting times.
