I needed a quick solution to a lightweight job coming up and thought I would use the old mouldable plastic (heated in hot water) to make an impression on the 73Wh IDX batteries (run time about 1.45hrs) and on the brain. Its a bit heath robinson and all but its amazingly easy and snaps on and off. VLOCK mount although stays put its held with bolts and a bungie secures the VLock down.

Just a bit of fun.

When I power the camera from the Dtap of the Blushape batteries camera behaves really weird. Like histogram goes away and I get no playback. Simply the Dtap of the batteries does not give enough juice. Maybe yours are different but, possibly a good thing to check.

When taking Dtap from the battery plate it works fine. Battery plate you can get for about 12USD, might be worth it before that strap get loose the battery falls and pulls your camera lemo connector.

Never had any power issues with IDX on D-Taps even though they only output 50w and body is stated at 60w I normally use the RV XL's. But just needed something quick for those shots you have to jump in a car and hold at awkward angles. Its secure without bungie but its just there for safety. At only 5mm its very low profile.
