i shot for about an hour at lax yesterday using epic x #00031 which has been dragooned...

this is the first one i am posting using a very awful platform, youtube...

my first impression of the camera is i am happy with what i see.

i am going to put up a few videos over the next blah blah time frame...

here is the first, check back for more.

this video has been shot at 238fps in 2khd using the ever popular and highly accessible red zoom 18-50 purchased on 9/7/07, no offense to red, but i would say the worst lens that will ever be used on this camera body. i liked what i saw, there are also 6k versions of this type of shot obviously different planes, which i will post later...

enjoy...look in the notes for more information about the shot...make sure you set the playback to 1080...

ok the third one is another plane, not sure of the type (maybe a plane expert can let us all know)

this one is shot at 6k full frame 6144 x 3160 at the max frame rate for a t1 128g red mag which is 83 fps, with a 155 degree shutter ( again i chose a quick one and not a custom open) I'm uploading it from Fcp at a 4k setting....choose 2160 (4k)

thanks guys

2 more links added...3k and 6k.

Super cool!

Had to be fun being that close I bet.

These are a lot of fun Dino, thanks for sharing!

BTW, that last plane is a Boeing 777. I actually guessed 767 but looked up the registration number and it's a Cathay Pacific 777: http://www.planespotters.net/Production_List/Boeing/777/39233,B-KPU-Cathay-Pacific.php.
Best,

P.S. - A little fun airplane stuff while we're at it for all of you Seahawks fans; thanks to a Boeing test flight this week: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/...=Feed:+hacker-news-feed-200+(Hacker+News+200)

this is cool, so i have heard about and seen these guys all over the world watching for planes and specific planes, like bird watchers...they have their scanners out and are listening to the ATC towers...i have shot lots of these planes at LAX, from underneath and then from the hill taking off i bet these guys would like to see all of the videos.. thanks for sharing the links.
