Thinking about upgrading but its a lot of money to still have 6k. I know a lot of the benefits but have a couple questions.

1. Is the boot up time faster? This would be huge if it is.
2. Does it take as much battery or does it manage it better?
3. If so would this apply to all the new scarlet w/raven etc? Thinking about even selling my epic dragon and getting a couple scarlets and so on.
4. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I thought I heard this somewhere: Does it crop the shot in when you switch from say 6k to 2k like it does on the epic dragon or did they change this to where there is no "pop-in"?

Thanks in advance!

I'm personally not interested in upgrading to weapon. The dragon is amazing, you don't NEED weapon.. Unless you have tons of money I don't see why anyone would mortgage their house to upgrade to weapon. Keep your epic dragon, it's a better camera than a Scarlet W.

My 2 cents.

The boot time is about 30 seconds with the current Release build. I think they improved it with the latest Beta build? I haven't played with that since I'm doing a lot of client work at the moment.

The Weapon boot time is similar to Dragon. I think it was slower prior to the current beta(s).

Current beta:
1. Side light goes from yellow to green at around 12-seconds
2. Cross hatch on screen around 21-seconds
3. Full UI on screen ~28-seconds.

With the release build that the camera shipped with, it was greater than 45-seconds to boot.
