  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Settings transfer

you mean, like export a created preset that already exists in 1st Epic?
- load Preset onto SSD, install SSD into camera 2, install per normal.
Sorry Jay - this may seem obvious and I am missing something in your request?
If by ALL you mean multiple Presets, I would imagine you copy ALL to SSD and transfer the same way...

Like Stu said, you will want to:
- create a preset on the source camera
- export the preset file to SSD
- eject and remove SSD from the source camera and place it in the destination camera
- import the preset file from SSD
- apply the preset

Note that the way you create a preset with "ALL" the settings will vary depending on what version of firmware you are running. In 3.0.x and earlier you simply check all the checkboxes. In 3.2.x you will need to go to each category tab and move all the settings in the preset list.

I placed ALL in quotes above because you can't actually create a preset will all the camera settings - there are some settings we don't export to presets. However, there are only a handful of settings that don't get exported and they are usually settings that don't make sense to move from one camera to another anyway.

My reading of this is Jay is meaning all Epic config settings... ie every menu parameter that is set on the source Epic is then cloned to the target Epic.

Essentially avoiding dialing in settings on the second Epic to match the first (and potentially missing something!). Useful for 3D and for multi-cam shoots to make sure all cameras are the same base setting.

Just my take on the original post ;)

That's what the preset should accomplish.
