I'm having an interesting problem.

We recently had a shoot that was somewhat low budget and to save time and energy elected to just shoot ProRes only on the Weapon and go directly to post for a quick and cheap turn around.

We are having a problem with the ProRes files though in that some files will not import into Premiere CC. What is a little strange about this is that if we duplicate the file in Finder and then import the duplicate, we can ingest that into premiere but the original will still not.

Is anybody else having these issues with Weapon ProRes recording?

Been having this issue with premiere CC this whole feature with the dailies. Really hoping Premiere sends a update asap.

I have seen this too, and shared files with both RED and Adobe. RED promptly responded that they could reproduce the error, and it's on Adobe's side. Adobe (as usual) has made no response of any kind whatsoever. They do continue to report record profit, however.

I'll contact them. Hopefully this can be resolved before the next big CC release.

I am actually really happy to find out it on Adobe's end and there is nothing wrong with the actual footage from the camera.

So is everyone in agreement that the remedy at this point is to duplicate the footage in finder?

This also suggests RED may be able to fix Adobe issue in their own firmware. Clearly when copying in finder, finder is able to "write" these new QT's in way that's Adobe friendly. Maybe RED engineers will be able to emulate that, and apply this "write" method in camera? Who knows.

Either way...I'm sure this will get resolved shortly.
