Prometheus a Short Featurette/Trailer with Epic >>>

Ridley Scott said: "It's Epic!!!"

Congrats to the RED team!
I think 2012 and 2013 will be the years when pretty much all major hollywood DP and directors will come and kiss your ring...
It's no doubts so that even when price is not the issue, or for those that could just ask any camera manufacturer to make them a camera, still people with quality in mind will choose RED Epic and I just love it. It' so nice to see people try hard and reach success.

Kick ass thats what it's all about. :)

I am so exited about this film. Everything they are doing with 3D sounds amazing. The fact that that they have built each set for a each 3D shot and plan to use 3D to control tension in the audience is so exiting to me. Finally 3D is being used as a story telling tool not just a flashy extra!

And you know it's shot on my favorite Camera: Epic!

just saw prometheus. Hmm. Very very video looking, and motion just didn't look right. I didn't like it at all. Compared to alien or blade runner it just isn't remotely in the same ballpark. Sterile and without soul. The resolution just reveals the imperfections, Why the obsession with resolution? The sets felt like sets rather than real believable spaces. I'm actually quite depressed about it all. Such a stark contrast visually compared to the older films, and just far less engaging, organic, cinematic in the texture of the image.

dunno k-
I saw a 3D/imax version on the weekend. Breathtaking and totally immersive. $18 well spent. kudos Ridley. again.

I thought it was beautiful looking. The resolution was perfect married to the sci fi elements. What the Epic was made for I think. I'm not sure you could ask for more.

K, If Prometheus didn't convince you, go see Spider-man. Its stunning. (Spider-man, Muppets, Prometheus and Pirates, in that order, are the best looking Blockbusters shot on Red in my view)
