ProLine T2000 steadicam group buy - Part II

Yes David, thank you for spearheading this! Super stoked about flying my camera!!!

WE DID IT

Luciano just wrote me a mail:

Estimated time frame for delivery is between 45 to maximum 60 days from today.

Does anyone know if there's a DTAP from the top box for accs? If not, is there an adapter to convert to DTAP?

There isn't a D-Tap on the j-box, but it's easy to make an adapter cable Lemo -> D-Tap, if there isn't already one included.

Congratulations David on reaching your target numbers for this Group Buy!

This confirms what I knew all along - that my 3-day offer from AP did not effect the PROLine Group Buy.

I was able to get enough people together to get the best possible deal on the Raptor.

You were able to get enough people together to get the best possible deal on the PROLine.

Everyone wins.

Had I not taken the initiative to start the AP thread, a lot of people would have lost.

I am very happy for the Reduser community.

Sorry, but I have to disagree.

Of course I'm happy that everything worked out. But if you have a look at the AP thread, you'll realize that most of the AP orders came by redusers who would otherwise have purchased a ProLine T2000.

Only through selling at manufacturing costs (with the advertizing factor as profit), ProLine was able to reduce the required number of orders from 60 to 40.

You played a risky game. It went well, but it was a close call. That doesn't make your actions morally any better. Sorry to be so frank.

Thanks again, David! Lots of ups and downs and ins and outs over the last few months.

And +1 on pre-cut foam, if it's not too costly.

Another big thanks to David for organizing this group buy, and doing it in the most admirable manner. Very happy everything went well in the end. :-)

....And +1 on pre-cut foam, if it's not too costly....

How costly can it be to cut the foam vs. having to safely and securely package everything
in cardboard boxes ?

The whole point of getting the case is that you have a bulletproof shipping container.
Makes no sense to ship a sturdy case that is packed inside with uncut foam.

I guess I'll find out as I've decided to use a pelican instead so did not order the case. As an aside, does anyone know what the titanium springs upgrade costs & what the advantages & wear time are?

And a big Thank You to David for making this happen. We got in for the Laing - but are thrilled with the quality & features of the Proline.

The foam in the flight box is elastic, so you can put your sled and arm inside and it'll accommodate it.

I asked Luciano about the pre cut foam, titanium springs and the carbon vest ProLine is developing.

Cheers
David

Thanks for all the hard work Mr. Kellermann! It is much appreciated.

David, next time I'm in Germany, you owe me some time so I can buy you couple rounds of beer!

Sounds good!

In fact, whenever someone from this group (no matter if you ordered or not in the end) comes to Germany or Switzerland, send me a mail and we can meet for some beer!

Just realized something. The docking bracket doesn't seem to have a pin to hang the arm. Or was there a post about that being included?
