  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ProLine Film Gimbal co-developed by me :)

David,
Too many gimbals out there and many of them look great on the paper or pictures. Same goes for many steadicam copies....
If you think that Swedish Chameleon's Newton system is outstanding, show us some real world proof to believe.

i believe when I see them and test them working. And every professional systems I tested and used still needs some improvements or customizations. And trust me. there is no way that one system meets everybody's needs and it is true even you build your own system since your own requirement changes over time.

I don't wont you all to buy Swedish Chameleon's Newton. Quite on the contrary... I want you all to wait and purchase my gimbal when it comes out!

But imho the Newton is the best choice for everyone who wants to purchase a gimbal right now, simply because it offers easy adjustment possibilities.

When is it likely to come out? With so many gimbal's already in the market, any new offering has to have something different and appealing and not a me-too version.

While I've enjoyed our MoVI a great deal, I am excited to get our BS4 (soon?).

That said, beyond the obvious benefits going from no gimbal to a reliable gimbal, I am left feeling like this technology has a long way to go - and am excited to see it evolve.

David is an incredibly smart guy and I wouldn't doubt for a moment his gimbal will be amazing and provide solutions other manufacturers haven't gotten around to even considering yet.

The real winners are all of us…as "best practices" and new standards evolve, existing technology will drop in price putting a gimbal of some sort in everyone's hands in the next year or two.

Probably best not to get too attached to one model yet lol. I thought our MoVI would be the end of my exploration and have come to realize it was just the beginning.

My sincere thanks to David, Carey, and everyone who've contributed to this marvelous technology, the RU community and the craft as a whole…
