Problems with Red 50-150?

Yes - but I have no idea what the thread is; I use a matte box with drop in filters. However if someone could enlighten me, I would be most appreciative.

The 50-150mm RED lens is not threaded. A mattebox or sunshade is essential. The 18-50 is threaded but not this lens.

This is a fantastic lens by the way. I love mine. I don't know why RED ceased production on these. Buy with confidence.

I'm about to buy a used 50-150mm zoom and wondered why red stopped making them?
did they suffer from the same problems that the 18-50mm had?
anyone know a good reason not to buy a 50-150 lens?

Focus marks on the Sigma are much better, zoom range on the Red is much more useful, both are a nice size for the range, CA is better handled on the Sigma, both lenses breathe like an asthmatic at an athletics carnival.
