Mike Most... Are the comparable/superior to the Panny 11 Series talked about here for grading? They actually use the Panasonic screen but Pioneer guts
and superior calibration tools.

I can't speak from personal experience because I don't have any. But based on comments from at least one chief engineer at a major facility, yes, the Kuro models were quite nice and were actually his first choice (he did install a few of them). He had to go to the Panasonic when Pioneer exited the market. He is not unhappy with that choice, but he did prefer the Kuros for reasons that weren't made very clear to me.

What's a "good price" to offer for these discontinued models?

I have absolutely no idea. Not very high, I would suppose, due to lack of any future support.

I just got a 60" Kuro elite, but doesn't arrive for another week. Everyone I have spoken with about them says they are better than the 11 series and the finest plasma ever made

I was also told that the Kuro doesn't need to be re-calibrated for about 2 years, but would love a second opinion on that.
