I'm confused, the text says you thought the previous Pro I/O Mini idea was overloaded, but v2 appears to include all the ports of the first PLUS the proxy module...

Don't be confused... :) It's only a wishful dream at this point in time...

Great idea for a module Mark...........hey, the possibilities are virtually endless.

Red is listening.

He he, different technology from Box to Box Mark, look at the actual size of al other Modules and what they offer, then try and combine the Electronics and ports of each of them and there is just no way to crack them al in such a small unit... However if RED does pull out such a miracle then of course I'm GAME... + 1... ;)

I think its ironic that Ketch is the one saying it can't be done :)

I would buy this module.

I love it when Toia refers to himself a "little guy." ;-) Mark, you may not be Cameron, but in my book, your the quintessential camera professional!!

And yes, this unit looks way cool. (But, I'll bet you'll need an adaptor.)

Im curious to know, what the current module adaptor is actually doing? It would be great if somebody from red could chim in on this and explain. I mean, on all early drawings of the module system that bit was never there.

Bjorn - you're right, it's hard to know. I seem to remember early on, when the Scarlet and Epic were to be a different width, one of the reasons for the adaptor was to allow the modules (which were narrower, like the Scarlet) to fit on to the Epic. It was a physical adaptation as much as anything. Now, of course, the cameras are the same but still, an adaptor. Presumably it does some electronic "interpretations" but I am curious to know as well.

new Toia Modual

new Toia Modual

I'll take 3 right now.

thanks for the new modual Mark.

Sound pix does it all... and is small... and has a screen.
Ki-pro does it all... and is small...
The tech is there already Ketch. Audio ports are not an issue. the board for the extra evf is not big....
I swear, if RED can make a camera so powerful and that small... SOUNDPIX and KIPRO make there audio/vision capture boxes small... Then so can RED.

I have seen and used their offering I still thing this is a completely different thing, but again Mark, if they can pull it off or are willing to, well, then I'm in Buddy!!

He he, no I din't said that can't be done, first of all I know better then that, but secondly is the fact that I said it would be a miracle if RED could do so in such a small Module, as IMO it would need a Module no less then double the size of what MARK has posted.

In life everything is possible... I should know... ;)
